A Scripture trivia game for iPhone. 1,356 questions across 31 sections, playable on your own, pass-and-play with up to six people around one phone, or head-to-head against someone else's phone with a room code.
Solo and Pass & Play run entirely on your device — no account, and no internet connection needed. Head to Head is the one mode that goes online, and the app also checks about once a day for corrected questions.
Solo — enter your name, choose categories and difficulty, pick how many questions, and play. Your best streak, games played, and best score are kept on the home screen.
Pass & Play — add up to six players. The app prompts you to hand the phone to the next person between turns, then ranks everyone at the end.
Head to Head — one player creates a room and shares the six-character code; the other enters it. Both phones then show the same ten questions in the same order, with a running scoreboard. It needs an internet connection on both ends.
Filter questions By Book (Genesis, The Gospels, …) or By Topic (Christology, Soteriology, Ecclesiology, and more), and set difficulty to Easy, Medium, Hard, or All. The setup screen shows a live count of matching questions.
Get one wrong and the app tells you the right answer without your having to tap anything. Tap See the answer and it also explains why it is the answer, where Scripture says so, and why the option that tempted you is not it. Every one of the 1,356 questions carries a note like this.
At the end of a round, Review your answers lists every question you were asked with no clock running. The ones you missed open with their explanation already showing.
The home screen offers ten questions a day and keeps a streak. You can set an optional daily reminder in Settings; it is a normal iPhone notification, scheduled on your device.
Settings offers four themes — Sanctuary, Parchment, Dawn, and Saints — plus accent colour, corner roundness, and flourish level. Choices are remembered between sessions. Text size follows your iPhone's own setting, including the larger accessibility sizes.
Do my stats sync between devices? No. Statistics are stored only on the device you played on, and are removed if you delete the app.
Is there a timer? Not in Solo or Pass & Play — take as long as you like. Head to Head gives 25 seconds a question, because both players are waiting on the same one.
Does the app need the internet? Only for Head to Head. Everything else works offline, including the full set of questions, which is built into the app.
Do questions ever get fixed without an App Store update? Yes. Every question is written by hand and a few turn out to be wrong, so the app checks about once a day for a corrected set and picks it up quietly. A new set takes effect the next time you open the app. The check sends nothing about you — see the Privacy Policy — and if you are offline it simply does not happen.
Why can't we play head-to-head? Both phones need the same set of questions, since each works out the round independently rather than being told it by the server. Open the app on both phones while online, give it a moment to catch up, and try again.
What gets sent when I play Head to Head? The display name you type and how you are doing in that round, so the other player can see them. Not the questions — both phones work those out independently. Rooms are deleted an hour after they are created. See the Privacy Policy for the detail.
My head-to-head game dropped out. Rejoin with the same code; the app will put you back in the round where it actually is. Room codes expire an hour after they are created.
